they should service it at an dell store
Answer 2 :
Yes Mr. Harish, You have a chance. I think you would be pleased to see this info. Just go through this link. http://supportapj.dell.com/support/topics/topic.aspx/ap/shared/support/dellcare/en/international_travel?c=in&l=en&s=gen As far as I know, Dell does not provide any global warranty. They only provide free service in the region where it was bought. but there is a chance that you can get service from the authorized dell service executives. but you would have to pay for that again. Even if your laptop is bought anywhere outside India, you should again buy warranty again. You have a chance to do that, even if your warranty if all over too. There are 3 types of warranty services. 1. Next Business Day: If you buy this, executive will come to your place with an appointment to give service to your laptop. 2. Service Center: Dell reps will be sent to your home with a box wherein you have to put the laptop in the box and send it to the service center. 3. Normal Warranty: If you have any bad parts, you have to call customer care and they will send you new parts which will be followed by a call on which the other guy will help you installing the part. For even more info call toll free number, else visit http://supportapj.dell.com/support/topics/topic.aspx/ap/shared/support/en/warranty_information?~ck=ln&c=in&l=en&lnki=0&s=gen

Best way to connect with laptop while travelling in India?
I am on a visit to my home place (India) and looking for best way to connect to internet while traveling. Currently I have a laptop with wireless feature. Had internet at home, but it doesn't serve the purpose while I am traveling to different places. Whatever way it is, I need the connection for 1 month.

If there is wi-fi you can connect through your laptop. However, if there is not, there are a few things you can do. 1) If you have a cellphone with Bluetooth, you can get a USB Bluetooth adapter and connect through your phone. 2)Most wireless companies sell a pcmcia card that allows you to connect through that companies wireless network for about $60/month
