Answer 1 :
All HP Laptops have universal power adaptors 100-240 V. You only need a plastic adaptor so the US plug fits in an Indian plug - most airports and travel stores sell you universal adaptor kits

$ 1 = ₨ 46.6900 looks like your laptop is under $700 in USD if you want the most bang for your buck buy the pieces to the laptop and configure it your self, to avoid the manufacturers assembly fees. check http://newegg.com for info on how to do this / where to buy pieces

This one is for Beetle Bug who wrote: And Quark is just what he is.....an opinionated pseudo India lover Is what you said about me in another answer. Since I can't E-mail you I post it here. How dare you announce on a public forum how I feel about India. I tell people I go 3 months a year (which I do) so that they will have a sence that I have some knowledge concerning the subject. Suppose for a moment I proclaimed to the public that Bettle Bug don't really like his mother he just pretends to. How would that feel. You can have no Idea how I feel for India. I have loved India since first going in 1986 and I return time and time again. I just try to offer the best advise I can for other westerners so they might get the most out of India and have a pleasurable experience....Read what I write about India....then read it again and again....If you had any brains you would know what I say is true. I wrote the folowing about India: QUESTION Is India a good place to travel? What is there to see and do? How long should I stay to get an experiance? Also what time of year should I go? Tell More!! (if you can) MY ANSWER That's like asking is strawberry cream cheese or real French seven layer chocolate cake good! India is the ultimate travel experience. And once one falls in love with India one does not have the slightest desire to go anywhere else...Sure I still want to see Egypt and Istanbul, but having traveled to India for 3 months each year for many years now. I sometimes get the itch during the rest of the year when I am not in India. I sometimes find a bit of tears under my eyes...loooonging to return. There is no flaura and fauna like India’s. There is no Topography like India’s (from pristine beachs all the way to, and in between, up to the Himalayas). There are no cities as wild and exciting as those in India. There is no diversity of cultures in any country that can match India’s. There is no more spectacular Architecture than India’s. There is no tolerance like the tolerance of India. But most importantly there are NO people on the planet that can match the kindness, warmth, genuine concern, interest in foreigners, and "Chanti' of the India people. They are as close to devine as you will find on this miserable globe! One does not go to India like one goes to the Bahamas, one goes to India to find the inner self and strength, along with everything else...at times, one wants to pull one's hair out and then Mother India says here, "I have a gift for you". Then one is transported to another realm. Go to India and never return! (at least a month for your mind to turn away from your Western value system and begin to see the wisdom of India's mores). Go Oct to Dec and Mid-Jan to Mid April (avoid very hot seasons and monsoon) May-August (way to hot ). I must also warn you that many, especially Americans, can not stand India...these are the ones that don't give India a chance..They go expecting to see the negatives and thats all they see and it's a pity they can't wait to leave. I sometimes see them hanging out around Connaught Place with nothing to do. Sad... I ask you again..Is that the musings of a pseudo India lover? I think not! (Oh if you want to put your gross rudeness behind you, I am waiting for an apology by E-mail Mr. Bug) Master Quark Spell cheker is on the fritz again.
