Need to recharge american laptop in India?
I am going to India for 2 weeks for the first time and want to take my laptop.

Check the label on your laptop's power brick. It will list what forms of current it can use. From experience in working with computers, most laptops can switch between the two common electric services (120v/60hz and 220v/50hz) in the world just fine. According to the ever-accurate WikiPedia (sarcasm intended), India's standard mains current is 230v/50hz. So long as your laptop's power brick can take Indian current, all you will need is an adapter for the plug.
